The Ministry imposes a Prohibition outlawing the public consumption, sale, and distribution of all alcohol. The Weasley and Malfoy mafia are rival clans competing in the illegal sale of alcohol within the Wizarding World and have been the cause of the numerous turf wars and violence that have been plaguing London as of late.
